Honoring the “First Responders”

Posted by Ken Eklund on 06 Mar under People and Ideas

When there’s an emergency they call the first people on the scene the “first responders.” What they do really matters because they’re the first ones in.

The EVOKE Network has grown so big so fast it’s a little like an emergency (a very heartfelt, soulful, happy emergency) and if you’ve clicked around the site at all you know we have our own “first responders” – players that are the first to look at what people are contributing to the site and to add their own ideas or just a “this is good – keep it up!” Some people are really doing a superb job as responders (they’re like everywhere) – I myself see Caroline Meeks, Bruce Haynes and Karen Rustad around a lot, you probably see any of the many others. But I also want to honor people like Justin Rim, Alex Stovell, Ethan Brockman, David Sahlin, happyseaurchin… (I could go on and on and on!) If you’re looking for something to do, give it a try. You only need to be a first responder to one other person to be a hero.

Ken should also give a credit to himself in addition to mine. your idea makes me believe you can mentor a slow world. I also think there are always winners at evry phase of a proces.
