Look up Hissa Helal online. She is standing bravely, not cowering. And she is doing it through the approved channels. She is walking the difficult path of compromise. With the conversation geared so heavily towards the problems, it’s nice to get a fresh wind with some solutions sometimes.
Evoke agents must be able to work a source. At the end of the day you can’t be upset, crying and asking yourself what have I done. Sources, tricks, confidential informants, snitches etc… must be exploited for information on a daily basis. Let the source gather the information; you process the data. It really is that simple. whether it’s a 2600 member, a government official or just someone in the know; each agent has to develop his or her own information exploitation style. Intelligence agencies have written volumes on how to work sources. Law enforcement agency publications/documentaries are a great resource on this subject as well due to undercover and sting operations. Remember as an EVOKE agent you must be able to drink without becoming an alcoholic. You must be able to have an affair without becoming physically involved with or emotionally attached to someone. Last but not least you must maintain a healthy psychological separation between work and family. Agents assist citizens of the world during crisis. They maintain healthy relationships with friends and family before during and after missions. EVOKE agents do not appear to be the typical NGO/AID types which continue to profit from other misfortunes. Remember you have to win the psychological war and accomplish the mission to declare victory
